Free Crochet Pattern – Fingerless Mittens

Standard

Hi everyone here is a quick crochet pattern for you. I had some DK wool leftover from making a hat so I thought I would see what I could make and here is the end result. I love fingerless gloves, they are prefect for keeping hands toasty warm but they free up your fingers for crafty pursuits and tweeting.

This is an easy pattern that could be made in an evening, I used just over a half a 100g ball Stylecraft Special DK wool and a 4 mm hook to create these Autumnal fingerless mittens.

I hope you like this pattern, it is a UK pattern I have included a conversion table for stitches and hook sizes. This is the perfect pattern for using wool leftover in your yarn stash. I haven’t included the colour change in the pattern, I simply changed the wool for the last 2 rows, that wasn’t the plan when I started making them, this was a happy accident, I ran out of wool when making them and had to go back and add a colour change. I love happy accidents when I’m making things. You could work this pattern in 2 different colours to create a contrast and make the wrist detailing more noticeable.
