This is such a quick and easy DIY, you’ll be making them for everyone!
What you’ll need:
- Deep edge canvas
- Fairy lights
- Black felt tip
- Black fine liner
Draw your design onto your canvas using a pencil. You can find a downloadable version of mine here: dalmatian drawing
When you’re happy with your design, go over your pencil marks with a fine liner. This will prevent your felt tip from bleeding on the canvas.
Colour in your design with your black felt tip.
On the reverse of your canvas, arrange the fairy lights and sellotape the wires in place. Remember to leave the switches for your battery box accessible.
Voila! One light up cute as a button Dalmatian canvas!
I love making jewellery, and I’ve got lots to learn and lots of ideas I want to create. When I’m not making jewellery I love to crochet, and my favourite thing to make is toys. It is great fun, time consuming but very rewarding.
This is the first large bear that I’ve made, it was really enjoyable and I’m please with the results so I’m going to make a couple more and take them along to the next craft market to see how they sell.
Let me know what you think.
I love this new card stock and had so many ideas of how to adapt it and use it. The first idea was tn add it to a bracelet I have made, i’m also going to try turning it into a brooch. My latest idea is to use it to add interest to my displays at sales as it has a lovely kitsch vintage feel.
